The Gooderham "Flat Iron" Building was designed by the noted architect David Roberts. It was built in 1892 and was designed in the Romanesque and Gothic Revival tradition. This building was commissioned by financier George Gooderham to house the offices of Gooderham and Worts Distillery. This building is older than the more famous Flatiron building in New York by about 10 years.
